GATHERING VII
The Systematics Gatherings are yearly meetings of practioners and interested people in the methods of systematics, as they have developed from the work of John Bennett, with the aim of furthering research and collaboration. Bennett set himself to update ancient wisdom, such as Pythagoreanism, through insights into the qualitative significance of number brought into relation with modern experience and practice.
They are designed and run by Anthony Blake and are now held at the home of Karen Stefano.
Suggestions, thoughts and wishes about the nature of the programme will be gratefully received.

PSYCHE INTEGRATION
ST. FRANCIS RENEWAL CENTER
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE
PSYCHE INTEGRATION The structure of life can drive to distraction, one thing after another, one experience driving another. The action of Psyche Integration reverses the flow. It gives another time in which to regain contact with our ‘secret’ or at least own center of gravity, or common sense. An intentional construct of seven types of practice, it starts experience moving in another direction to the mechanical drive of daily life, to give a means of self-remembering.
The cycle is run for just over three days. It joins individual with group practice because it is essential to learn how to co-operate without conformity and see oneself more objectively in relation to others. It includes many standard types of practice known as meditation, movement, art and dialogue. There is very little theory or formal explanation and individuals chose to what extent they research the method.
Psyche Integration is run by Anthony Blake and Karen Stefano who have studied with pioneers in self-organized learning including group psychotherapy, fourth way, systems thinking and creativity. It is recommended that the learning is repeated at least twice a year, in order to establish an inner rhythm of the ‘counter-flow’.
“We talked to re-discover that communication is possible. We put ourselves in a “laboratory” and experienced the experiments we did on ourselves. In other words we experiented.
We underwent a practical course in de-constructing movements. We tore coloured tissue paper to shreds and glued it on cardboard (great fun with surprising and beautiful results). We became miners for meaning molecules and found them during an inspired walk (and what wonderful molecules they were, little jewels of pure being).
We listened to music, which can be a challenging experience. Ghosts, dragons and a bottle of rum plus other colourful items emerged from our shared dreams, kept us spell bound for an hour.
All these were experiences encountered on our way, much more passed unnoticed by the non concerned found only on his or her way. More was just there, possibly available to one or the other truly alerted and awake.” A participant in the recent UK event.

This concert is inspired by the continuing explorations of Voyager 1, launched by NASA over a quarter of a century ago, and now over 8 billion miles away - the most distant object from Earth built by humanity. We seek to musically corroborate the expansion of perspective and paradigm intimated by the startling information coming from Voyager 1 since August 2002 - when unusual instrument readings indicated that V1 had entered a region of the solar system quite unlike any previously encountered.
Presently, by scientific consensus, V1 is believed to be moving through the far-off energetic frontier of the solar system! This puts it into, if not beyond, the solar system's Termination Shock zone - where the solar wind abruptly slows as it presses outward against the interstellar wind. Estimating the location of the Termination Shock is hard, because we don't know the precise conditions in interstellar space.
Little attention has been given to this epoch-defining story in the general media. Come to the concert to hear a capsulated overview of Voyager history - history in the making - and a musical evocation of the what lies beyond the old metaphor of "the harmony of the spheres" .
